Let’s be honest: I have the hand-eye coordination of a newborn giraffe, but I have the “Tennis Club” aesthetic down to a science. There’s something about a court that demands a certain level of sartorial drama.

Today’s serve? A balloon skirt by Adidas that has enough volume to justify its own zip code. It’s the perfect antidote to the “too sporty” look. I paired it with the Scholar Knit Cropped Jacket from Alo, because even if you aren’t actually a scholar of the game, you can at least look like you’re on a very chic scholarship.

To keep it grounded (and because running in heels on a court is a crime against humanity), I went with the Adidas Tokyo sneakers and those oversized Free People scrunch socks that give just the right amount of 80s nostalgia. Top it off with a Nike visor to block out the haters, and the sun, and a glossy green Caraa tennis duffle that’s basically a piece of art.
